Our friend Sheri, who saw the show in Reno, connected us with her cousins, the Del Valles. We look forward to meeting them as they are hosting us for a show in Seattle. We understand they traveled for a year in a van. We will have a lot to talk about.
Friend from Chautauqua crew Ian Grunfeld is hosting a show at his Seattle home. Ian reached out early after we announced our trip. His 3 piece folk group "Old Radio Seattle" will be opening the show.
The Ukiah show included several songs with guests Heidi and Hannah on ukulele, fiddle and mandolin. A potluck feast proceeded the show. The setting for the nights festivities was sublime. Front row guests include Diann Simmons, Scott Davis and their son Ry (Chequamegon Bay friends from way back who moved away long ago). Also in the front-- host family the Edwards, and via Face Time from Sanford, FL, the Lehmans.
An excited group of friends and neighbors gathered at Melissa Pedersen's home for the house concert in our sister city of Ashland, OR. The crowd enjoyed a great show! All sang along enthusiastically with "The Weight" and "African Skies." "The 1028 Tribal Stomp" brought the house to its feet for the first house concert/dance party!
It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon in Reno NV; Sun shining, apple trees abloom, bees buzzing, birds on the wing all while Andy played. This lucky audience of people, dogs, birds, bees and flowers all enjoyed the premiere performance of 2 new songs; Ahwahnee Wind and Old Darkness, with lyrics.
There were many late nights of music and myth making by Brian and Andy leading up to our Napa show. A fine group of friends gathered on show night following a wine tasting and yummy appetizers. Following the show the audience of talented musicians shared tunes into the night.
