The Outer Banks!!! I've wanted to go there for a long time. Andy and Greg generously invited us to join them and a few other Northland Alumni and friends for their annual get together. We were close so we said "Yes!" It meant a few intense days of driving to get home in time for the annual 10:28 party and it was worth it. This was our last visit and our last show of the yearlong tour before heading home. What a sweet note to leave things on. We rekindled Northland friendships with Lukas Kamberg and Laurie and many new non alumni friends.

Leah and Fletcher squeezed in a house concert for their friends between Phish shows. Andy was a hit, impressing the audience with his originals and solo guitar playing. Also on the play list for this gathering some- Grateful Dead and of course the 10:28 Tribal Stomp. Andy Miller, son of Dave and Helen Miller, joined Andy for a few numbers to bring down the house. Geoff Doyle, another Northland Alum, also made the show. Representing for Greg Clemmons, was his lovely wife Katie. It was a lovely full moon evening in a warm town on the shore. Our plate was full at this Bethesda, MD home. Andy preformed to a full house with a lively audience, including Dan Stevens, a surprise connection and Northland Alum. We stayed up late sharing stories with Jefferson and Julie. In the morning Andy had an early interview with Jefferson for his podcast Planetary Gigs. Its a great podcast about spreading peace through music, with interviews with great musicians such as Chris Smithers, Victor Wooten and now Andy Noyes. I enjoyed a walk along the canal in the neighborhood. We had a sweet visit with Linda Noonan and family in the lovely college town of Haverford PA. The house concert was a big hit, bringing smiles to the audience of friends. We enjoyed the home cooked meals and family time. |
