House Concert with a view. So pleased to be returning to this sweet spot in the country to visit our dear friends Kelly and Paul, their family and friends.
Kelly and Paul are hosting 2 shows again this tour! Seriously, Kelly and Paul, What would we do without you? We are looking forward to extending our knowledge of ID to include Warren. Andy will be playing for a community festival there on June 15, Hoping there is less snow then, than in the photo below. We will return to McCall, ID to do our second show in Kelly and Paul's home there. We are excited to reconnect with friends we made on our visit last year.
Ann and Carl gave us a bed, an amazing paella dinner party and a beautiful tour of the Yuba River last year. This year they are hosting a house concert. We are so grateful to be returning to this beautiful country and seeing friends that we made on our last visit.
Reno is starting to feel like a second home. This will be our 3rd house concert in the biggest little city. This concert is hosted by Ann and Tom Carpenter. They are fans by attending previous house concerts. Rumor has it that they have a stage in their back yard. Looking forward to seeing our sister and brother in-law (our first ever house concert hosts) and our growing circle of friends in Reno. Below is a pic from last years Reno House Concert.
Our friends, Michael McKenna and Leah Rolfson lived in Paonia CO before moving to Washburn. They graciously hooked us up with Alicia of The Learning Council in their old stomping ground. The Learning Council is hosting Andy for a public concert on the lawn. We are excited to meet Michael and Leah's Paonia friends.
The first house concert of our 2019 tour is hosted by dear friend and former Ashland roommate Mary Ganchoff. We are looking forward to catching up with Mary and connecting with her community in Hotchkiss, CO. We have not been to this part of the country yet.
The Outer Banks!!! I've wanted to go there for a long time. Andy and Greg generously invited us to join them and a few other Northland Alumni and friends for their annual get together. We were close so we said "Yes!" It meant a few intense days of driving to get home in time for the annual 10:28 party and it was worth it. This was our last visit and our last show of the yearlong tour before heading home. What a sweet note to leave things on. We rekindled Northland friendships with Lukas Kamberg and Laurie and many new non alumni friends.
Leah and Fletcher squeezed in a house concert for their friends between Phish shows. Andy was a hit, impressing the audience with his originals and solo guitar playing. Also on the play list for this gathering some- Grateful Dead and of course the 10:28 Tribal Stomp. Andy Miller, son of Dave and Helen Miller, joined Andy for a few numbers to bring down the house. Geoff Doyle, another Northland Alum, also made the show. Representing for Greg Clemmons, was his lovely wife Katie. It was a lovely full moon evening in a warm town on the shore.
